Breloom: Welcome to season two folks we’ve got some interesting hopefully thought provoking Death Battles for this season.

Doom: We’re starting the season off with a battle between two super solders who’s powers were given to them by the government but ended up taking two different path’s.

Noob: Captain America The first avenger…

Doom: and Deathstroke the deadliest mercenary in the world

Breloom: I’m Breloom he’s Doctor Doom and joining us is Noob (I’ll explain in the comments) and it’s our part time jobs to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to see who would win in a Death Battle.

 

CAPTAIN AMERICA

Alias: Steve Rogers

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 220lbs

Age: 25

Feats:

   

- Won crucial battles for WWII

- Punched Hitler

- Went toe-to-toe with several strong beings and held his own

- Led the charge against the Registration Act

- Proved worthy of Mjolnir

 

Breloom: There’s probably hardly anyone out there who doesn’t know about Captain America.

Doom: Steve Rogers Aka Captain America was a frail and scrawny man growing up in the height of World War II. Wanting to stop the acts committed by the Nazis in Europe, he tried, repeatedly, to enroll in the army and failed each time.

Noob: Gee I wonder why I mean look at the kid I bet Squirrel Girl could beat that guy.

Doom: Squirrel Girl is more dangerous then she appears.

Noob: Right… anyway, Steve was then given an offer that he couldn’t refuse. He underwent “Operation: Rebirth”. By taking a body enhancement formula known as the Super Soldier Serum, his body was advanced to its fullest potential.

Breloom: Becoming the dream of every patriotic woman everywhere Captain America.

SUPER SOLDIER SERUM:

-Consists of injections, consumable formulas, radiation, and gaseous chemicals

-Never been successfully replicated

-Wore off or hideously warped other subjects except Steve Rogers

-Kept Rogers alive after being frozen

-Affects his brain as well

--Master tactician
--Excellent memory

Doom: Afterwards Steve took up the alias of Captain America, at first for propaganda, but would soon become the first true superhero in the Marvel Universe timeline.

Noob: Wait is Doom allowed to know that?

Breloom: Be quiet or your being locked in the closet where we found you.

Doom: Ehm.  Then, tragedy struck. At the close of World War II, Cap saved all of America from a mass bombing by scrapping an explosive rocket before it could reach America. He was tossed into the Arctic Ocean where, thanks to the Super Soldier Serum, he went into suspended animation and became frozen in the Arctic’s icy hold.

Noob: Because comic books.

Breloom: He was later thawed in the modern day and became the first avenger although use to it by now Steve still has some trouble living in the modern day.

Doom: Steve’s SSS injection has served him well in his heroic career allowing him to lift heavy objects, run fast enough to catch a speeding car, make impossible jumps, dodge machine gun fire, smack the hulk with his shield so hard that he actually draws blood…

Noob & Breloom: Wait what?

Doom: And never even got tired once while doing it.

 

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

-Super strength

--Max Bench Press: 1100lbs
--KO’d juggernaut
--Forced a steel door open while injured
--Broke chains binding him
--Cable admits Cap is stronger and faster than him
--Once hit The Hulk so hard with his shield he actually drew some blood

Super Speed

-Can keep up with a car on foot alone
-Outran birdlike creatures that could run 50mph in the snow

Super Stamina

-Doesn’t secrete tire-inducing toxins
-Can run and fight for hours on end

Agility

-Olympic-level gymnast
-Can weave around multiple attacks from multiple directions

Reflexes/Vision

-Runs through/into machine gun squad fire and emerges without a scratch
-Simultaneously deflects bullets and dodging another bullet with a shield throw
-Can see bullet speed

 

Breloom: Due to either his military background or general experience as a super hero Captain America claims to know all forms of hand-to-hand combat. He's fought Wolverine to a standstill and has even knocked out the Hulk once.

Noob: He has for one reason or another faced off and defeated Lady Deathstrike, Taskmaster, Black Panther, and Spider-Man, heck and might as well throw in the rest of the marvel universe.

Breloom: He hasn’t Defeated Iron Man.

Breloom: Well what about tho…

COMBAT ABILITIES:

-Mastered several known martial arts

--Judo
--CQD
--Boxing
--Karate
--All-terrain acrobatics
--Utilizes pressure points

-Fights for hours without tiring

-Fought and defeated Lady Deathstrike, Taskmaster, Black Panther, and Spider-Man

-Held his own against Carnage (Who is more powerful the both Spider-Man and Venom)

-Fought wolverine to a stand still

-Claims to know all forms of hand-to-hand combat

-With shield defeated Thor, Iron Man, and The Hulk at lest once.

   

Noob: His main form of defense and weapon is his iconic shield made of adamantium and vibranium it is virtually indestructible only being able to be destroyed by beings who can use cosmic energy.

SHIELD:

-Almost 3’ wide
-Circular
-Virtually indestructible

--Blend of adamantium and vibranium
--Harder than steel, but half the weight
--Can only be broken on the molecular level

-Used in both close- and long-range combat

--Thrown like a discus.
--Once extinguished a lighter by throwing the shield and turned it back on with return trip.
--Holding it in front of him and chargeing at full speed turns himself into a living battering ram.
--Used it to actually stun Onslaught by jamming it into the back of his neck.
--Has used it to decapitate people before.

Noob: Yeah bloody *Looks a little queasy*

Doom: Captain America if familiar with many different weapons He’s skilled in the use of almost any known firearm from plasma cannons to machine guns to handguns.

Breloom: He’s also a quick learner being able to use almost any weapon after simply picking it up.

Noob: Captain America is also a natural leader able to rally even the most stubborn groups of people to complete the mission.

Breloom: Captain America is also intelligent being a master tactician and field commander.

Intellect:

-Master tactician and field commander
-Lead several successful missions both during and after WW2

 

Doom: But like most characters in marvel, minus DOOM naturally, Captain America comes with his own fair share of weaknesses.

Breloom: He is a bit on the naïve side when it comes to superheroes, believing in more simplistic ideals, fighting styles, and heroism even if a situation is anything BUT simple.

Noob: Steve is also not immune to weapons bullets and knifes being able to kill him if he can’t dodge them.

Doom: Captain America while adapt at Hand to Hand has also actually loss in 1 on 1 matches before such as when he faced DOOM.

Noob: Despite this Captain America has proven to be an iconic hero recognized for his heroics in most parts of the world even being a hero to some of marvels other heroes.

Breloom: But does he have what it takes to survive Deathstroke?

 

(Captain America: When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree by the river of truth, and tell the whole world "No, You Move.")

DEATHSTROKE:

Alias: Slade Wilson
            The Terminator

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 225lbs

Age: In his 50’s

FEATS

     

- Defeated the Entire Justice League

- Defeated Batman in Hand to Hand combat

- Defeated Nightwing on multiple occasions

- Out willed a Green Lantern

- With prep systematically took out the Teen Titans

 

Breloom: Slade Wilson was just a normal boy that wanted to join the army so lying about his age he joined at the ripe old age of 16.

Doom: While most people his age would’ve probably spent most the time crying over their mistake Slade actually proved to be quite the accomplished soldier carrying out a number of successful missions.

Noob: The guy was a beast once killing 38 Viet Cong in under two minutes and this was before they pulled a Captain America on him.

Breloom: After a while the army decided the Slade was the best candidate for their experimental enhancement drugs naturally the patriot that he was at the time Slade agreed.

Doom: After this Slade was discharged from the army after he successfully saved one of his friends despite being told not to.

Noob: So naturally with all his talents Slade decided to sell himself out to the highest bidder taking the persona of Deathstroke The Terminator.

Breloom: and trust us when we say he lives up to the title.

 

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Strength

-Estimated to lift at least 800lbs (some sources say 2000lbs but are questionable)

-Can kick down a reinforced steel door

- Broke chains binding him

Speed

-Top speed is 30mph
-Can dodge batman's baterangs (keep in mind batman throws them at 100 miles per hour)

Stamina

-Can exert himself at peak capacity longer than any human can
-Has lead Superman on a chase through metropolis and got away

 

Noob: But he gets better people check out his Combat stats

 

COMBAT ABILITIES:

- Enhanced Reflexes

--Can avoid gunfire from squads of machine gun fire (Including surprise machine gun fire)

- Master of martial arts

--Former military man and assassin
--Expert in hand-to-hand combat, holds, and throws

--Has defeated psychically superior foes in one on one fights

--Defeated Starfire (a warrior princess with Class 100+ strength)

--Held his own against both Green Lantern and Aquaman

--Pulled a Captain America once

 

Doom: Pulled a Captain America once?

Breloom: Check it

Noob: I guess they do actually have a couple things in common.

Breloom: As well as Superb Hand to Hand skills Deathstroke also comes with large arsenal with weapons.

Doom: He comes equipped with swords, grenades, knives, and a special staff.

Noob: The staff is extendable with the abilities to shoot fire from it, for some reason…, and can be used as either a distraction or a way to barbecue someone.

Breloom: Naturally Deathstroke is skilled with using his weapons. Being a master marksmen and is highly skilled in swordplay.

 

WEAPONS:

- Broadsword

--Made from a powerful metal known as promethium

--Double-edged

--40in long

- Guns

--Pistols

--Submachine Guns

--Assault Rifles

- Power Staff

--Steel

--Flexible

--Extendable

--Can work it into his fighting styles

--Emits fire

--Grenades

--Bolas

 

Breloom: But Deathstroke doesn’t go into battle in the nude oh no he wears a mesh-woven, kevlar, chainlink mail, capable of stopping small arms fire. Most of the metal he wears and uses is Promethium.

Doom: But in the New 52 Deathstroke sports a full body Nth metal suit allowing to absorb Powerful blows from foes such as Lobo who has the same strength as Superman mind you.

Noob: This armor also seems to enhance his strength allowing him to rip a pressurized door off of an SST travelling 40,000 feet in the air.

Breloom: Slade also has a healing factor that while not as impressive as say Deadpool’s is still sufficient enough to allow him to survive a shoot to the head on more than one occasion.

Defenses:

- Made from promethium scales

- Worn under suit

- Resistant to slashes and bullets

- Lightweight

- Nth metal suit can allow him to take blows from Lobo

- Healing Factor

--Was blasted by a plasma cannon and was only dead for 25 minutes.

--Took a point-blank gunshot to the head, died, then came back a few hours later

-- Negates an attack from inside his brain meant to kill him. His healing factor adapted after one attack, and in the words of slade himself "Your little death zap is now an annoying ache"

-- Allows him to keep fighting even if impaled (Has been shot in chest by Arsenal with an arrow and still beat him)

 

Doom: His most dangerous aspect is his mind though working at 90% instead of the usually 10% Deathstroke is constantly analyzing any fight he’s in and can predict what his opponent will do just based off their body movements.

Breloom: Consequently Slade is a master tactician able turn almost any battle in his favor.

 

Intellect:

- Uses nine times more brainpower than the average human

- Some of his most impressive feats involved using his mind

- Can read his opponents and predict what they’re going to do next.

 

Noob: Now we come to his weaknesses

Breloom: While usually calm and collected Slade has had his temper get the better of him.

Doom: Also when he survives a fatal hit he temporally goes insane and starts fighting with a blind rage.

Noob: and while impressive his healing factor has limits such as he can’t regrow limbs and decapitation will be the end of him and well his guns don't have unlimited ammo.

Doom: Plus we’ve looked at his record in Death Battle and he has a losing streak.

Breloom: Regardless Deathstroke is one of the most dangerous human characters in DC and for good reason.

 

(Deathstroke: ...I've never failed before when I took on a mission. I'm damn well not going to give up now.)
